Aamir Khan and Sanjay Dutt to battle it out at the box-office

Sanjay Dutt is all set to comeback to the movies, starting with ‘Bhoomi’, which releases on the 4th of August next year. But, the actor might have to face some competition at the box-office, with his ‘PK’ co-star, Aamir Khan’s next too releasing at the same date.

Aamir is all set to make a special appearance in ‘Secret Superstar’, which is slated to arrive on the same date. “This is not a clash on the scale of, let’s say, a ‘Raees’ and ‘Kaabil’. But, at the end of the day, it is the coming together of two heavyweights on the same day, Both films would be looked at quite keenly,” says a trade expert,

The source adds, “They both are also favourites of Rajkumar Hirani and one waits to see if the filmmaker chips in to help avert this clash. He has made ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ and ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ with Dutt, while with Khan he has made ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘PK’. (with Sanjay Dutt in there as well). Maybe if he has a chat with them, one of the two films would move to a different date.”

A source however says to a daily that there might be changes in release dates of either of the films. “As of now, the casting of the film is on. So far, the two things that have been officially confirmed are the facts that ‘Bhoomi’ would mark Dutt’s comeback on screen and the release date. As is the saying, there is many a slip between the sip and the lip. Both films are still more than six months away. Much can change in time to come.”

So will Aamir and Sanjay sit together to resolve the issue? Let’s wait and watch.
