Aamir Khan’s ‘Secret Superstar’ gets postponed, to release on Diwali

Aamir Khan will next be seen on the big screen in a film titled ‘Secret Superstar’. The movie is produced by Aamir, and he has an extended cameo in it. The film was slated to hit the screens on August 4, 2017. However, it has now been postponed to Diwali.

The movie will now be clashing with Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘2.0’, and apparently the reason behind this delay is Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma’s next, and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’.

SRK and Anushka’s untitled flick, and Akshay’s ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ will be hitting the screens on August 11 which will be the second week of ‘Secret Superstar’ if the film would be releasing on August 4. The Aamir Khan-starrer would be marginalised due to the two other biggies, so that’s why the film has been postponed.

A source has quoted in an entertainment portal, “Aamir himself called Rajini Sir and discussed his concerns vis-à-vis ‘Secret Superstar’ shifting from August to Diwali. Both the actors share a warm bond and it was with Rajini Sir’s blessings that Aamir has announced a Diwali release for ‘Secret Superstar’.”

Directed by Advait Chandan, ‘Secret Superstar’ stars ‘Dangal’ fame and National Award winning actress, Zaira Wasim.
