‘Aankhen 2’: An interesting cast joins Amitabh Bachchan

There have been a lot of reports about the cast of ‘Aankhen 2’ and finally, yesterday the star cast of the film was announced at a grand event. The first instalment starred Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Sushmita Sen and Paresh Rawal. From the original cast only Big B and Arjun are back in the sequel. ‘Aankhen 2’ also stars Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi and Ileana D’Cruz in the lead roles.

‘Aankhen’ (2002) was directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, but the sequel will be helmed by Anees Bazmee.

Talking about the movie, Anees said, “This will be different from ‘Aankhen’ and it will be bigger and better. The basic premise will be same.”

This will be for the first time when he will be helming Amitabh Bachchan. The director said, “It’s my first film with him (Bachchan). I have always seen his films, admired his work I have been a fan of him. I am grateful to the team of ‘Aankhen 2’ that I got the opportunity to direct him.”

Anil, Arjun and Ileana were not present at the event due to their other commitments.
