Abhishek Bachchan roped in for a Sanjay Gupta film now

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made a smashing comeback in Sanjay Gupta’s action thriller Jazbaa. Now it is being rumoured that Abhishek Bachchan will be seen in Gupta’s next upcoming release. The film in question is a gangster film that Sanjay Gupta is quite an expert at.

Abhishek Bachchan has been enrolled in the lead role by Sanjay Gupta for ‘Ek Tha Gangster’. The racy thriller is based on S. Hussain Zaidi’s 2014 bestseller, Byculla to Bangkok, a sequel to his 2012 novel, Dongri to Dubai. The story of the film will trace how youngsters were recruited and they went on to become local goons like Arun Gawli, Ashwin Naik and Chhota Rajan.

Zaidi said, “Sanjay’s screenplay is riveting. He is the best mafia moviemaker in the industry. There are some sensational, high-voltage scenes I am looking forward to viewing on the big screen, in particular, the first interaction between a don and an encounter specialist. That should keep viewers glued to their seats.”

The movie that was earlier named as Mumbai Saga, has been re-titled Ek Tha Gangster will go on floors in December.
