This actress just beat Bipasha Basu to star in Priyanka Chopra’s next production

It was just last year that Priyanka Chopra expressed her desire to be a part of a project that required her to portray the role of entrepreneur Kalpana Saroj, and her inspirational journey, on screen. However, though it has been more than an year since the announcement, there has been no whiff of the same.

It was said that Priyanka, along with producing might also star in the film. However, recent reports suggest that the actress only has a hand in the film’s production. There were reports doing rounds that Bipasha Basu has been roped in to play the lead. Unfortunately, things did not work out and the bong babe could not be a part of the project. But, now, if sources are to be believed, it’s neither Priyanka nor Bipasha, but Radhika Apte, who will be essaying the entrepreneur. “Priyanka has long wanted to see Kalpana Saroj’s inspirational journey unfold on screen. She feels that Radhika Apte will fit the bill perfectly,” confirms a source.

Priyanka will apparently be meeting Radhika today to discuss the same.
