Actress Richa Chadha to own a sports team soon

Bollywood and cricket go hand in hand. Bollywood celebrities keep finding new avenues with passing time to help themselves connect to a larger audience.

We have seen a number of celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Abhishek Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Priety Zinta and many more invest and become faces of sporting events or teams. Buying of sports teams has become popular amongst Bollywood stars in the recent past. From cricket, to martial arts and football, sports has support coming its way from Bollywood.

The latest to join the league was Tiger Shroff who announced his foray into backing a team for the Super Fight League and actress Richa Chadha is soon to follow suit.

While Richa is often seen supporting women in all walks of life, she is now planning on backing an all women hockey team for an upcoming sports tournament which is expected to take place in Bangalore and Delhi this summer.

Even though further details of the same are kept the under wraps, Richa confirmed the news saying, “I’m excited about what my team and I are working towards for the women’s hockey tournament. We will soon share further developments”.

That is big step, we must say.

The actress is currently shooting for ‘Fukrey 2.’
