Adnan Sami granted indefinite stay in India

Pakistani singer Adnan Sami has become quite famous in Bolywood once again, with his new quawali Jholi Bhar do Meri, that he has sung in Bajrangi Bhaijaan. There is some good news for the singer. he has been allowed to stay in India indefinitely.

Adnan’s Pakistani passport had expired in May, he had approached the home minister Rajnath Singh after Pakistani authorities did not renew his passport. He was to be deported to Pakistan. An intervention by the home minister on behalf of Sami ensured that the Centre invoked its discretionary powers under the Foreigners Act to grant him immunity from deportation.

Sami is famous for his many hit songs such ‘Kabhi To Nazar Milao’, ‘Lift Kara De’and many others.
