Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on joining social media: I don’t feel the need to be there

Social media plays a huge part in making a celebrity connect to his/her fans on a personal level. The fans not only get to know everything about their idol’s whereabouts, but even the celebs use it as a medium to promote their upcoming ventures and interact with the audiences.

Even though most of our Bollywood celebs are ardent social media users, there are a few who still haven’t joined the platform for their own personal reasons. One of such actresses is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who prefers to stay out of it.

While Aish’s husband, Abhishek Bachchan and FIL, Amitabh Bachchan, are all over the social media, the actress doesn’t feel the need of her to be a part of it. When asked whether why she has still not joined the social media bandwagon, Aishwarya said, “I don’t feel the need to be there. When the Twitter and Facebook trend started out, it was more about making statements and adding  followers, I didn’t connect with it.”

Apart from her, actors like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and more too aren’t a part of the medium.
