Akshay Kumar: Rajini sir is the only superstar in the country

After ‘Robot 2’, Akshay Kumar has clearly turned a fan of Rajinikanth. The actor was recently in Chennai to endorse a brand and indulged in a candid conversation with the media. But, want to know what the moment of the day was?

Before Akshay took to the stage, the host of the ceremony introduced him as “superstar Akshay Kumar”. He quickly ran upto the stage, took the mic and said, “The lady here announced my name as superstar. But there is only one superstar in the country — and that is Rajinikanth sir!”

Needless to mention, the entire auditorium broke down in applauses! Akshay, of course, was bombarded with questions about working with Rajinikanth and sounded overjoyed. “It is an honour working with Rajini sir in a straight Tamil movie — it is like a dream come true! I am very happy about it and eagerly awaiting the response of people here after its release. I want to be part of of more south films,” he said.

Recently, there were buzz that Akshay has charged more than Rajinikanth to act in the sequel of ‘Robot’. However, the makers were quite eager to rope him in and agreed to his demand.

We now wait to see how Akshay’s villanous act has shaped up!
