Akshay Kumar is one superstar of Bollywood who does around two to three films every year, and 2017 won’t be exception. The actor recently took to Twitter to reveal his line up, and with that he also announced his new film ‘Padman’ which is based on the man who started making sanitary napkins. This will also be the first film under ‘Mrs Funnybones Movies‘, which is the production venture of Akshay’s wife and writer-columnist Twinkle Khanna.
The movie ‘PadMan’ is based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, a village simpleton who created low cost sanitary napkins that can be afforded by the women of the village. There is a whole story based on him in Twinkle’s latest book, ‘The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad’. We are sure Akshay will do justice the role which will be crafted to perfection by someone as talented a director as R Balki.
Akki tweeted, “Busy summing up the year gone by? It’s time to not look back, but look ahead. Here’s what my 2017 looks like.Ur thoughts, love & luck needed.”

Well, we wonder what happened about Neeraj Pandey’s ‘Crack’ which was supposed to release in mid-this year. Apart from these films, Akki also has a cameo in ‘Naam Shabana’ which stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead role.

Akshay last year had three releases; ‘Airlift’, ‘Rustom’ and ‘Housefull 3’, and all of them were hit at the box office.
‘Eat Sleep Bollywood Repeat’ is his life Mantra. Dance is his first love and Rani Mukerji is his eternal crush. He is someone who loves being himself, and as for the ones who don’t agree, his reply? “Talk to my hand!”
