Just few days back, it was being heard that superstar Salman Khan is going to star next in the remake of a South Korean film titled ‘Ode To My Father’ which would be helmed by director Ali Abbas Zafar. This project would have been the third collaboration between Salman and director Ali, after ‘Sultan’ and their soon to go on floors ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’. But, recently when the ‘Sultan’ director was asked about this development, he chose not to divulge much information about it. While the director had made his way to attend the special screening of ‘Running Shaadi’, he was asked by the reporters about this project, to which Ali replied saying, “It’s too early to speak about it. First, I am going to start ‘Tiger Zinda Hai,’ next month. That’s my next film. I am excited about teaming up with Salman again. It is always great to work with him.” [sic]
Certainly, the director is currently completely focused on ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ which stars Salman along with actress Katrina Kaif.
If we talk about the original film ‘Ode to My Father’, it was a drama film released in the year 2014 and was the second highest-grossing movie in the history of Korean cinema.
The remake rights to make the Indian adaptation have been recently bought by Salman Khan’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri.
