Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor to be Mrs and Mr Pataudi in the biopic?

Biopics are a rage these days, so well, why not a biopic on cricket icon and Saif Ali Khan’s father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi? His career as a cricketer and his love story with Sharmila Tagore seems to be a good narrative for a movie. Even his wife Sharmila Tagore thinks so!

At a recent event, Sharmila Tagore said that she would love to have a biopic made on her husband. She was quoted saying, “Yes, of course I would like a movie to be made on Mansoor Ali Khan. If someone really directs it properly, and with proper research, I think I would like it. I think his life has got a lot of things, about the accident, about losing his father and playing cricket with such a handicap.”

Further, when asked whom she would like to see playing her husband on-screen, she said, “I really don’t know. Somebody who looks like Tiger. May be Ranbir Kapoor or somebody in the family.” But the tough job is to find someone to play her character. When asked who she would like to see as Sharmila Tagore in the biopic, she said, “That’s a real challenge. What about Alia Bhatt?”
