Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who has been entertaining his fans with his films for over four decades now, feels filmmaking is a “delicate art”, as it brings in various other arts like painting, architecture, music and dance on one canvas.
“Filmmaking is such a delicate art… Painting, architecture, music, dance, speech, mood, colours and bars… Everything all put into one big canvas,” Amitabh posted on his blog on Saturday.
The 73-year-old, who is currently shooting for ‘Pink’, says working on the film has been an “amazing experience” for him.
“Laughter and smiles and the liberty of happy exchange on the sets… Even though there is the severity of the text and the environ of the story and the content,” the ‘Piku’ actor wrote.
“There is the continuity of each shot running into miles and miles of shoot time on cameras one-five, it is just an amazing experience… No one speaks, the A/C is put off, the silence is deafening, each syllable of your breath is heard, and the performances of all the cast and the crew is marvellous… Simply marvellous,” he added.
In ‘Pink’, Amitabh is playing the lead role of a lawyer.
Produced by Shoojit Sircar, the film is being directed by Bengali filmmaker Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury.
This will be Sircar’s third project with Amitabh after their unreleased film ‘Shoebite’ and 2015 film ‘Piku’.
