Amitabh Bachchan on Dilip Kumar

Amitabh Bachchan is not just a part in this exciting world of cinema, but he is also a big admirer of good work carried here. This Legend has given many stars like Kangana Ranaut, Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh a token of appreciation for the remarkable work in their respective films. This token of appreciation is a hand written letter which the actor writes down whenever he sees something admirable.

But this actor who has been an inspiration for many had also received a similar kind of appreciation letter from his idol which is still with him. This letter came from ‘Tragedy King’ Dilip Kumar, who Bachchan admires ever since his schooling days. The thespian wrote this letter to Amitabh after watching his incredible performance as a teacher for deaf and dumb students in ‘Black.’

Amitabh Bachchan said, “I have always been a great admirer of Dilip (Kumar) saab and he wrote a letter to me after he saw Black. That has been preserved by me.”

Both these legends have shared screen space once in ‘Shakti’ where they played the role of father and son. Certainly, when you are acknowledged by someone you admire, it is a big moment for a legend like Amitabh Bachchan also.
