Amitabh Bachchan’s views on retirement: The profession shall retire me, or my body will

He is 74, but can any day give any young actor a run for their money with his impeccable style, superlative acting skills and that unmatchable aura.Yes, we are talking about ‘The Amitabh Bachchan‘. He has been in the industry for ages and with the number of films lined up for release, it seems that scenario is going to be the same, for ages to come. So what about retirement?

In his recent blog, Big B has shared his views over retirement and has clearly stated that he is not ready for it as of yet. “There is these times, the question raised by many, on why I do not retire and hang my boots up and relax… Thank you… But no thank you,” Big B posted on his blog. “The profession shall retire me, or my body will… Till then one strives each hour, each day. I do not have the money, the fame the recognition that is assumed… and they were not the consideration for achievement. Who will define achievement… What is it? A peak, a mountain, a specified distance one must conquer? Each human may have a concept or design of what they consider to be an achievement. It cannot be normalised. So don’t normalise it for me,” he adds.

He is pretty sure about his plans. “Retirement for one is the acceptance of having conquered a peak. But there could be another peak to conquer after having conquered one. Who knows? Retirement is a forced limitation. Some accept and acknowledge it. God bless them. Why may anyone suggest that ‘I be blessed’?”

We are glad and who would anyways want an actor like him to stop entertaining the world with his talent!
