Anil Kapoor opens up on film with son Harshvardhan Kapoor

Few months ago, there were reports that veteran actor Anil Kapoor is all set to team up and share screen space with his son Harshvardhan Kapoor. This project was a biopic on Indian athlete Abhinav Bindra where Harshvardhan was to play the titular role, while Anil would play his father and industrialist-millionaire Apjit Singh Bindra. Recently, Anil Kapoor was honoured at the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Award where he was asked about this project. To this, he chose to reply saying that it is too early to speak about the film.

The actor said, “It’s too early to speak about the film. Once everything is finalised, I’ll talk about it. But talks are on. If God wishes, we will do a film together and it could be this one. I am very excited to work with him, but it is too early to speak about it.”

Reportedly, this biopic on Abhinav Bindra’s life will focus on the relationship between the athlete and his father. It is expected to go on floors by the month of October.

Talking about the other projects of this father-son duo, Anil Kapoor’s next release ‘Mubarakan’ will see him teaming up with his nephew Arjun Kapoor for the first time. The film is directed by Anees Bazmee. Whereas, Harshvardhan Kapoor has recently wrapped up the shooting of his second film ‘Bhavesh Joshi’ which is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane.
