Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh depict their eternal love story in new poster of ‘Phillauri’

On the special occasion of ‘Valentine’s Day’, the makers of ‘Phillauri’ have released a new poster and it depicts the eternal love story of Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh. The earlier posters too had a tinge of romance, but this one looks perfectly timed for the day of romance.

Anushka Sharma has uploaded this new poster with a caption that reads as, “For some love stories a lifetime is not enough! Just like #Phillauri ? #HappyValentinesDay ❤” Have a look at the poster below:

We loved how the characters of Anushka and Diljit are inside an hourglass and the caption, “Some love stories last beyond a lifetime” is just perfect. Talking about the concept of the movie, the character of Shashi (Anushka) has an incomplete love story with the character of Diljit in the village of Phillaur.

She has an untimely death and her soul is trapped in a tree. A Punjabi guy played by Suraj Sharma who is a Maanglik is married off to the tree unoblivious to the fact that her soul is trapped in the same tree. As the guy is all set to tie the knot in an arranged marriage setup with a beautiful girl played by Mehreen Pirzada, Shashi’s spirit comes to haunt him and just doesn’t leave his side.

Although, her spirit seems to be a friendly spirit, her unfulfilled desires as a living being make her truly long for love and what ensues are series of hilarious and tricky situations for the guy and his soon-to-be wife.

‘Phillauri’ is directed by Anshai Lal and produced by Anushka Sharma and Karnesh Sharma. The movie is slated to release on March 24, 2017.
