Anushka Sharma to don an earthen, non-glam look in ‘Sultan’

After so much of speculation, drama and uncertainty regarding the casting of the female lead in Salman Khan‘s upcoming film ‘Sultan,’ the makers finally roped in ‘PK’ star Anushka Sharma to be the leading lady in the film. Being more than happy to bag this project, Anushka recently revealed that she is proud to work with all the three Khans of Bollywood.

Talking about Anushka’s role in the film then she would be playing a role of lady wrestler in the film. Salman will be seen in a Haryanvi wrestler avatar and Anushka would accompany him by being the lady wrestler in the film. Makers revealed that Anushka’s role is not that of girl-next-door but, she will be playing a character of a tough and mature woman. Apart from this, sources also reveal that as Anushka has to look ordinary as the film as a backdrop that of a rural India, she would be seen in a de-glam avatar. The tall lady will have to opt for a no make-up look in order to look like an ordinary, real wrestler and not that of a glamorous one. Apart from this, she will also undergo a training session in the sport to get into the shoes of her character.

Apart from Salman and Anushka, Randeep Hooda and Amit Sadh would also be seen in a pivotal role in the film. Randeep Hooda would be seen as a couch to Salman in the film whereas Amit Sadh would play the younger Salman in ‘Sultan.’
