Tony D’souza’s ‘Azhar’ starring Emraan Hashmi, Prachi Desai and Nargis Fakhri has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification with two minor verbal cuts. No visuals have been asked to be omitted.
Two abusive words ‘K***a’ and ‘H****khor’ were asked to be removed. However, the kissing sequence between Emraan Hashmi and Nargis Fakhri remains intact.
Recently, James Bond’s kissing scene from ‘Spectre’ was asked to be ‘reduced’ by the Censor Board. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s lip-lock in ‘Tamasha’ also had similar consequences. We wondered if the one in ‘Azhar’ would be cleared without hazards, but it did.
The film has received U/A certificate. It hits the theatres tomorrow, on May 13.
