Bhagyashree

Superstar Salman Khan’s co-star from ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, Bhagyashree has been booked in a hit-and-run case of 2016. A Santacruz resident named Mohammed Nausif Shaikh (30) has filed a complaint against the actress stating that on November 2, 2016, he was riding a bike from Khar subway to Link Road and when he had stopped near a signal at SV Road in Santacruz, a white speeding Skoda rammed into Shaikh. This unfortunate incident took place at 3 pm and his left leg was injured. (ALSO READ: PICS: Bhagyashree’s son Abhimanyu Dassani is a hot star in the making)

He further stated in his complaint that he had to go to Asha Parekh hospital by himself in an auto. After some hours, Bhagyashree’s husband Himalaya Dasani and his associate Raj Kishan went to see Shaikh at the hospital and that’s when Dasani told Shaikh that it was his wife Bhagyashree who was driving the car. He further requested him to not file a police complaint and promised that he would bear his hospital expenses and deposited Rs 25000 in Shaikh’s account, according to the FIR.

Since there was no orthopaedic surgeon available at Asha Parekh hospital, Shaikh went to Holy Cross Hospital for his treatment. A fracture in the left leg was detected in the X-ray and he was operated on November 3. Shaikh got a discharge on November 7 and approached Dasani for further monetary help and Dasani gave him Kishan’s number. But, Shaikh did not get a response further and finally lodged a complaint on December 19, 2016.

According to Mid-day, senior inspector of Santacruz police station Shantanu Pawar said, “The actress’s husband had gone to the hospital and helped him. We don’t know what settlement, if any, took place between them; it doesn’t concern our probe. We have kept our options open for invoking additional sections as facts emerge during the course of the investigation.”

The police officer stated that Bhagyashree had recorded her statement and claimed that she did not drive the car but her driver was behind the wheel. But, when the police officer was reminded that Shaikh had mentioned that it was Dasani who had told him that Bhagyashree was driving the car, the cop said, “The complainant didn’t tell us this.” The police further added that neither Bhagyashree nor her driver were arrested as they were looking out for more evidences in the case. They also added that there was no CCTV footage showing as to how the accident took place.

On the other side, Bhagyashree’s husband Dasani has rubbished Shaikh’s allegations by saying, “The driver was driving. The complainant is trying to blackmail us. We have a letter from him stating that he took help from us. We have enough evidence, including call recordings, to prove that he’s trying to extort money from us. We had paid him in the hospital. Media should not encourage such kind of people. We are going to file a case of blackmailing and extortion against him soon.”

So, we don’t really know what the truth is, let’s wait to see how this case unfolds.
