Actress Bhumi Pednekar, who received appreciation for her simple girl image in “Dum Laga Ke Haisha”, says that fashion has been an integral part of her life since childhood and she enjoys the whole process of getting dressed.
“I enjoy the whole process of getting dressed and getting ready. I am a girl and which girl does not love it,” Bhumi told IANS on Friday night on the sidelines of Amazon India Couture Week (AICW) 2015 where she attended designer Varun Bahl’s show.
On being asked about how important, fashion is in her real life, she said: “Fashion has been a very integral part of my life since I was a child. We were always dressed in a certain way. I have grown up in an environment where clothes were not ignored.”
Dressed in Bahl’s outfit, the actress says that her real life fashion statement is not restricted to brands.
“My fashion statement depends on whatever look good on me. It does not matter if it is a brand, not a brand. I am comfortable in both Indian and western outfit,” Bhumi said, adding that she is very particular about her outfits.
“I am very particular about what I wear but I am not finicky as well. I keep a check on my dresses, my make-up because I enjoy doing that,” said Bhumi, who before “Dum Laga Ke Haisha”, was an assistant casting director for six years at Yash Raj Films (YRF), which has produced her debut acting project.
