Complaint registered against Rishi Kapoor for allegedly cutting more than six branches of a tree

Rishi Kapoor was given permission to cut six branches that were being a hurdle in the construction work at his bungalow in Bandra, Mumbai. However, it is said that he has cut more than six branches, and a police complaint has been filed against him.

The complaint has been filed by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Ramchandra Jadhav, Senior Police Inspector of Khar Police Station says it has been found that more branches were cut. Police had earlier registered a non-cognisable (NC) offence against him. But now, a case has been registered under the Preservation of Trees Act.
