CONFIRMED! Alia Bhatt is a part of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’

Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil‘ is one of the most awaited films of 2016. The movie has been news for a lot of reasons, one of it being its star cast. And reportedly, apart from Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan, the movie will also have Alia Bhatt in a cameo.

For the uninitiated, Shah Rukh Khan, Imran Abbas Naqvi and Lisa Haydon already have special appearances in the film, and the latest reports suggest that Alia Bhatt too will be a part of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. Karan being very close to Alia, asked her to do a few scenes in the movie and she obliged.

Says Karan, “Don’t believe what you read. The cameos are all in the film and are not like the normal cameos. Like they are not for no reason. Everyone playing the part of the film is there for a reason barring Alia Bhatt. She has done a cameo in the film. She is playing a DJ in the very song that we are in (‘The Breakup Song’). We had a part for the DJ, so there was a link. It was always a part in the script. If somebody has gotta do it, then why not someone whom I love.”

Ranbir and Alia will be seen together in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Dragon’ and it sure will be interesting to see them share screen space in ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ before that.

The movie is set to release on October 28 and will be clashing with Ajay Devgn’s ‘Shivaay’ at the box office.
