Confirmed: Diana Penty-starrer ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ all set to have a sequel

Mudassar Aziz’s ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’, which released in August last year, was a sleeper hit at the box office. The movie starred Abhay Deol, Diana Penty, Ali Fazal and Jimmy Sheirgill in the lead roles. After the film’s release there were reports of it having a sequel. However, now it has been confirmed that there will be a second instalment of the film.

The director revealed, “The idea of a sequel to Happy struck me sometime last September. I discussed it with my producer Aanand Rai, who suggested I work on it some more and see what comes out of it. By October-end, I had a story which he really liked.” Mudassar has not yet decided where Happy will be eloping in the second part. (Also Read: Is it Hollywood calling for Abhay Deol?)

Well, it is said that Diana, Abhay and Jimmy will return in the sequel. But, we wonder if there will also be the Pakistani actors who were a part of the first part.

The movie will be produced by Aanand L Rai. Let’s see if ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ sequel will be a hit like ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’.
