CONFIRMED! Diljit Dosanjh to star opposite Anushka Sharma again in ‘Kaneda’

Diljit Dosanjh is slowly and steadily making a mark for himself in Bollywood, after ruling the North film industry.

The actor, who made his Bollywood debut in ‘Udta Punjab’, went ahead to star opposite another A-list actress of B-town, Anushka Sharma in his second venture, ‘Phillauri’. (Also Read: Anushka Sharma and Arjun Kapoor’s ‘Kaneda’ may go on floors in March 2017)

Reports suggested that Diljit was roped in to star opposite Anushka again in ‘Kaneda’ and the actor recently confirmed the same. Diljit admitted that director Navdeep Singh came to him with the script and he gave his nod to it. He said, “It’s very different from what people have seen me doing. I loved the story of ‘Kaneda’. Bohut hi powerful hai story iss film ki.”

Meanwhile, Diljit has denied being offered the Karan Johar and Salman Khan production venture which stars Akshay Kumar. He added “That’s not true. I have not been offered that film at all.”

On the other hand, the actor will next be seen in ‘Super Singh’, a Punjabi film, which will be produced by Balaji Motion Pictures. “I’m very excited to start that film because it is the first Punjabi superhero film. Balaji is backing it. That is again a very interesting script,” he concludes.

Directed by Navdeep Singh, ‘Kaneda’ also features Arjun Kapoor in the male lead.
