Confirmed: Shraddha Kapoor to play Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar

It was a while ago that the news of Sonakshi Sinha walking out of Apoorva Lakhia’s ‘Hasina’ came in the forefront. The proposed biopic on the life of Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar said to have gone on a standstill, but Apoorva made sure to bring it back into action soon enough.

According to a report in DNA, the director has approached Shraddha Kapoor to play Haseena Parkar and the actress too has given a nod. A source said to the daily, “Apu met Shraddha for the role and explained that Sonakshi had to opt out because of a dates issue. Shraddha who has so far done only romantic roles sees this as a chance to stretch herself as an actor and to prove her versatility.”

The actress will be seen portraying Haseena from the age group of 20 to 60.

“Shraddha will be given a lot of prosthetics to make her look convincing as a woman of 50 and 60. She sees this role as a big challenge as it is her first grey character. Her father has played antagonists all his life, and yes, she would be seeking Shakti Kapoor’s inputs to play Haseena Parkar,” added the source.
