Confirmed: Varun Dhawan – Sidharth Malhotra in ‘Ram Lakhan 2’

Karan Johar’s Production house in association with Rohit Shetty had declared that they are making the remake of Mukta Arts Production ‘Ram Lakhan’. The movie had actors Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor in the lead roles. After the declaration there was a hot debate on Twitter, as to who will look best in the role of ‘Ram Lakhan’. It was a tie between Arjun Kapoor-Ranveer Singh & Varun Dhawan-Sidharth Malhotra.

Sources said, “Karan Johar’s favourites, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan have been finalized for the ‘Ram Lakhan’ remake. An official announcement will be made soon. In this remake, Sid will reprise Jackie Shroff’s role as Ram, while Varun will play Lakhan played by Anil Kapoor.”

Sources further added, “Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh who were being considered for the role are quite busy with their commitments. Therefore the makers who want to launch their movie soon, have finalized Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra for the ‘Ram Lakhan’ remake. The film is all set to release in 2016.”
