Deepika Padukone draws a parallel between Vin Diesel and Shah Rukh Khan. Details here…

Deepika Padukone is all geared up for the release of her big Hollywood debut ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’ soon, but it is her friendship with her co-star Vin Diesel and his sister Samantha that she cherishes the most.

In a recent interview, the actress said how Vin is the first person she calls whenever she is in Los Angeles.

She goes on to say, “He (Vin) and his sister, Samantha, are to me what Shah Rukh (Khan) and Farah (Khan) were when I started out here. They are family.”

Deepika made her debut in Bollywood with Shah Rukh starrer ‘Om Shanti Om’, which was directed by Farah Khan, and being of great support to her since the start, Deepika has still maintained a close friendship with them.

When asked about how nervous or excited she was on her first day of shoot in the West, Deepika reveals, “I was a bundle of nerves on my first day on set because I was so far away from home and everyone was new and everything felt unfamiliar. But early on I realised that the process is exactly the same. People are different. If you can make the relationships work, it’s all smooth sailing.”
