Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif have rejected this South film

The South superstar Chiranjeevi is all set to make his big screen comeback with a Telugu film titled ‘Kathilantodu’ which is the remake of Vijay’s ‘Kaththi’. The makers wanted to rope in a Bollywood actress for the film. But, it is said that actresses like Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Parineeti Chopra and Nargis Fakhri have rejected the offer to star in the movie.

A source said, “Many actresses from Bollywood including Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Parineeti Chopra and Nargis Fakhri were approached but all of them turned down the film citing date issues. The producers even approached ‘Baahubali’ actress Anushka Shetty she too was unable to give dates. The hunt for the leading lady is still on.”

“Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan is keen for a top Bollywood actress to be paired opposite his father as he is also producing the film and wants the best for him. It’s his dream project as his father is making a comeback to films after an eight-year gap. The film features Chiranjeevi in a double role. The search for the lead actress is still on, though three schedules have been completed,” added the source.

The shooting of the film has already started with Chiranjeevi.
