I am depressed to learn about this, says Jeetendra on the demise of cousin Nitin Kapoor

Last night, we learnt that veteran actor Jeetendra‘s cousin brother Nitin Kapoor allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the terrace of a six-storey building at Seven Bungalows in Andheri West. Now, finally actor Jeetendra has broken his silence and expressed his sadness over the demise of his brother. He spoke about the tragic incident with a leading daily. He said, “He was my first cousin. I had not met him for a long time. I don’t know why he was not meeting me. He was avoiding me. His father was really close to me. He was like a father for me. I was away for a meeting. It was when my flight landed at around 8:40 pm that I came to know about this. I am in Delhi and am depressed to learn about this.”

Nitin Kapoor breathed his last around 2 pm on Tuesday. Cops state that he was facing financial crises for many years and was even undergoing treatment for depression.

DN Nagar division, Assistant Commissioner of Police spoke with a leading daily, “No suicide note was found. The body has been sent for a post-mortem. A panchnama has been done at the spot. We are investigating why he took the extreme step. There is no foul play. We will investigate to find out if anyone abetted him. The family has not spoken to us yet.”

Kapoor is survived by his wife Jayasudha who is a popular Telugu actress and two sons Nihar and Shreyansh.
