Did Aamir Khan reject Sanjay Dutt’s biopic as he was offered to play his father?

For long we have been hearing about Sanjay Dutt‘s biopic that is in the making. Director Rajkumar Hirani has taken up the charge to transform the actor’s controversial life on celluloid and Ranbir Kapoor is the one to essay his role. Paresh Rawal has been roped in to play Sanjay Dutt’s father in the film. But apparently, before Paresh Rawal, the director had approached Aamir Khan to essay late Sunil Dutt’s role.

As per a report in a daily, before starting the film, Rajkumar Hirani and writer Abhijat Joshi had approached Aamir Khan for the film. They narrated the script to him, but, were shocked by the stars reaction to the same. Apparently the ‘Dangal’ star thought that he was being approached to play Sanjay Dutt in the film. “I thought you were coming to narrate the role of Sanjay Dutt. I am not interested in playing the role of his father,” is what Aamir said to the makers as per reports.

Weird though!

Anyway, as an update on the biopic, the shooting of the same has already begun. We had recently come across a few leaked pictures from the sets wherein we could see Ranbir Kapoor dressed as Sanjay Dutt from the 90’s with long hair and a jacket. (Also Read: Say what!
