Enjoy Sanjay Dutt’s release with a free chicken dish & How!

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt will soon be a free man. The actor who has been languishing behind bars will be released on February 25. He was in jail for hoarding illegal weapons during the Mumbai blasts. The actor is returning home after three years of imprisonment. To celebrate the occasion, Noor Mohammad Hotel in South Mumbai will be offering ‘Chicken Sanju Baba’ – free of charge to all patrons and fans.

The famous dish was created by the actor who was a frequent visitor to the popular eatery, that has been a host of many celebrities. He gifted it to the owner Khalid Hakim.

Khalid Hakim said, “I had invited Sanjay Dutt Saab to inaugurate the new family section of my restaurant in 1986. Since then, he visited regularly to relish the special non-vegetarian and other food items we served here, especially his favourite Nalli Nihari. Along with it Munna Bhai also loved dishes such as ‘White Chicken Biryani’, ‘Chicken Hakimi’, ‘Dal Ghee’, ‘Zafrani Tangdi Kabab’, ‘Shami Kabab’ and ‘Tiranga Kabab’ on the menu, which Dilip Kumar, late artist M F Husain and Sunil Dutt also loved.”

He further added, “It was only much later in 2010, on one of his visits that he created a special gravy-based chicken dish for us and we named it after him as ‘Chicken Sanju Baba’ on the menu card. He also gave me his written consent to prepare and sell it to our patrons. He is a big star, he could have easily sold the recipe to some five-star hotel and earn a royalty for his whole life. But he gave it to our humble place. The least we can do is celebrate his release differently along with his fans and patrons on Thursday.”

Over the years, ‘Chicken Sanju Baba’ has become a hot favorite of the patrons.
