Ending his paternity break, actor Shahid Kapoor had made his way to attend a special session at the ongoing 18th Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival on Sunday. While addressing the media here, it was quite obvious that the actor had to face questions regarding his upcoming film ‘Padmavati‘ which is going to be directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Shahid chose to clear the air of the apparent cold vibes reported between him and Ranveer Singh saying that claiming ‘Padmavati’ as a two-hero concept is over-hyped and senseless.
Shahid said, “This is the stuff I’ve been reading in papers and I find it absurd when they say it is ‘two hero’ film. The film has three principle characters. These are just ways of creating some kind of material which is exciting at some frivolous level.”
“It’s a great opportunity for all three of us. It’s a great role for Deepika, a fantastic role for Ranveer and great one for me. I am happy that the film has been cast the way it has and it is getting made. I hope we come out with a great cinematic experience for the audience,” added the ‘Haider’ actor.
Moving forward, during this conversation one reply from Shahid to a journalist’s question made everyone laugh.
The actor was asked whether the current look he sported at the MAMI festival was the same for this epic historical film, to which Shahid replied, “Abey raja aise lagte the? Teen din pehle maine mera brand launch kiya tha, SKULT. Toh maine uske kapde pehne hue hai. Raja Rawal Ratan banke thodi aaonga MAMI film festival mein.” [sic]
