First look: Vidya Balan leaves an impression smoking a hookah in ‘Begum Jaan’

The first look of Vidya Balan’s character Begum Jaan from the film ‘Begum Jaan’ is out and as expected, Vidya is drenched in her character of being the head of the brothel. Smoking a hookah and resting on the charpayi, Vidya has nicely immersed herself in her character. She is like that fierce female who is not scared of anything or anyone. With a backdrop of partition, Begum Jaan is that displaced woman who has faced hard times fearlessly. Giving her company is Gauahar Khan who seems to be the right hand of Begum Jaan.

We are highly impressed with this look. Vidya has that skill to bring any character to life and that’s exactly what she has done with ‘Begum Jaan’. Apart from Vidya and Gauahar, ‘Begum Jaan’ will also star Pallavi Sharda. Directed by Srijit Mukherjee, ‘Begum Jaan’ will make it to the theatres on March 17, 2017. The film has been awarded with an ‘A’ certificate without any cuts.
