Shah Rukh Khan had irked many sections of the society due to his controversial comment on the issue of intolerance in India. He had said that “religious intolerance and not being secular is the worst kind of crime that you can do as a patriot.” This comment called for a huge controversy with the religious groups slamming the star for his comment. He later cleared his stance in an interview and said that “I do not think there is intolerance… the question that was asked, for which people pounced on me, was ‘what would you say to the future generation?’ because I now fall under the seniority zone.I never meant that it is happening now. I don’t think. I will be very clear.. everything is very nice in our country. God bless India, long live us, long live us Indians.” Even after this, people were agitated and that is why the theatre owners in Mangaluru decided to not screen ‘Dilwale.’ Despite the police providing security, the theatre owners were scared to release ‘Dilwale.’ But, finally, they took back their decision and now are willing to screen SRK-Kajol’s ‘Dilwale.’ This came only after the police guaranteed total security to the owners.

Well, indeed a good news for SRK who was a little disappointed with the box-office collection of the film. Despite this ‘Dilwale’ was one of the top grosser films of 2015.
