Guess how much is Shahid Kapoor being paid for acting in ‘Padmavati’?

We earlier reported that actor Shahid Kapoor, who has recently become a proud father of a baby girl, was being considered for the character of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh in Sanjay leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’. Shahid reportedly demanded to Bhansali that his character be made as meaty and important as that of Ranveer Singh who plays first lead in the film. Latest reports now suggest that Shahid is charging an eye-popping amount of Rs. 8-10 Crore for the film!

“Shahid will be paid around Rs 8-10 crore for Padmavati which is the highest he has got till date. Usually Sasha gets paid around Rs 6-7 crore, but for this film he is getting a higher amount and the reason behind it is that he is playing the second lead. Also there was no other actor who was ready to play the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh and SLB was left with no option but to pay this huge amount to Sasha,” a source told a leading portal.

There were also reports stating How Deepika Padukone was being paid a whopping amount of Rs. 11 Crore; though, the makers denied the news.

Deepika will be essaying the role of Rani Padmavati in the film, while Ranveer Singh will play the role of Allauddin Khilji.
