Nowadays, it has become a fashion to be offended by anything and everything, especially if it comes with some free publicity, and what can be better than attacking a song which features Aamir Khan. The actor’s movie ‘Dangal’ is being praised by all and sundry after its trailer come out, and the first track ‘Haanikarak Bapu’ is also loved by all for its fun quotient.
However, certain people have objections to the lyrics. How? Read to know more.
According to Vishwatmak Samajik Seva Trust, an NGO, the song is disrespectful to’Father of The Nation’ Mahatma Gandhi, who was affectionately known as ‘Bapu’, and want the word to be dropped from the song. Well, quite absurd since the word is used in many parts of the country to address one’s father in a loving manner.
Anyway, the request had been sent to Aamir Khan and the makers of the movie, but no revert on the same has been yet received.
‘Dangal’ is a biopic based on the life of Mahavir Singh Phogat who trained his daughters Geeta and Babita Phogat to be Olympic level wrestlers. It will hit the theatres on December 23 this year.
