Happy 65th Birthday to ‘Natsamrat’ Nana Patekar

Indian actor, writer and filmmaker Nana Patekar born on January 1, 1951, is a powerhouse of talent that has been wowing his fans with a range of performances with an elan. In his Bollywood career the actor has done a number of characters that have touched the hearts of his fans.

Nana’s dialogues are a rage amongst his fans and are remembered long after the movies have faded from the minds of the viewers. Born in Murud-Janjira in Raigad District of Maharashtra, to Dinkar Patekar a textile printing businessman and Sanjanabai Patekar. Nana is an alumnus of J.J. Art. He married Neelakanthi Patekar and has a son Malhar Patekar. Nana married life did not last long and ended in a divorce.

The actor is known for his charitable acts too, he had taken up cudgels for the farmers of Maharashtra and has been donating much of his income for their well being through his charitable organisation named ‘Naam Foundation’. He is at present being lauded for his performance in recently released Marathi film ‘Natsamrat’.
