Well, all those who have watched Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma‘s ‘Sultan’ might have shed a tear or two when the lady had to choose between her aspiration of being a wrestler and the privilege of being a mother. Both the situations seem so intimidating that it’s a tough choice to make, but she has to! Well, the real life scenario does not look much different. A working woman has to make a choice when she reaches this level of being a mother. So as this was the backdrop of the film, director Ali Abbas Zafar was asked to comment on the same wherein he said, “Whenever the issue of pregnancy comes in, the girl may be a working woman, but now she will have to give up her work because psychically she needs to do that.”
Surprisingly, post the film’s release, Anushka Sharma was kind of criticised for portraying a woman who gave up on her aspirations, but for the director it is a human thing. He said, “She had to choose whether she chooses something aspirational or emotional. She kills her aspiration for an emotional thing and according to me that is a very human thing.”
Further he stated, “That is the time when getting the so-called animal instinct into human being, the man will go on hunt and the woman will stay at home and we can’t deny it.”
‘Sultan’ that released on Eid has become the highest grosser of this year.
