Here’s the real reason why Rekha quit ‘Fitoor’

The first look of Abhishek Kapoor‘s most awaited film ‘Fitoor’ is out and it is breathtakingly marvelous. The encapsulating scenes of Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur at the scenic locations of Kashmir grabbed a lot of attention. But, when the makers revealed the look of Tabu in this film, we were completely bowled over. Tabu who replaced Rekha in the film looks outstanding in her Begum avatar in the film.

As we know, it was Rekha who was supposed to play the role of Begum in this film. But, after shooting a few scenes, Rekha decided to opt out of this project. At that time, the delay in the film’s shoot was the reason that made it to the headlines for Rekha’s untimely exit from ‘Fitoor.’ But, recently we came across the real reason behind Rekha’s exit.  Sources reveal that the Rekha could resemble her reel life character of Begum Havisham with her real life story.  A source said, “The character of Begum is akin to what Rekha is in real life. When she realised that, she found it difficult and uncomfortable to play herself and opted out of the film.”

The film ‘Fitoor’ is based on Charles Dickens novel ‘Great Expectations.’ According to this, the character of Miss Havisham is that of a bewildering lady who is much in new because of her relationships.  The source further said that “The similarities between Begum’s character and Rekha will be quite evident in the film’s first look (see cover). Begum has been depicted as a heartbreaker and a seductress, which are synonymous with Rekha who remains an enigma.”

Well, now this seems very interesting. This story has surely added up some spice for the film. Let’s see what aspects of Rekha’s life will ‘Fitoor’ highlight.
