Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently dropped out of a Ram Leela programme in his hometown after facing opposition from a political party. Talking about this issue, actress Deepika Padukone says that the society needs to be more sensitive and inclusive.
During an interview for a TV channel, Deepika was asked about her opinion on the incident, to which she replied, “I think as a society, in general, we need to be more inclusive and sensitive to people and situations.” [sic]
Further, the ‘Piku’ actress also talked about how it is difficult for the celebrities to voice their opinions.
“It is tough, but at the end of the day you have to find a voice. You have to see what’s genuine to you and what’s not genuine to you. Sometimes your opinion will resonate with everyone else and sometimes it may not,” added the actress.
