Last night, a grand event was organised to introduce child artiste Matin Rey Tangu who plays a pivotal role in Kabir Khan’s ‘Tubelight’. At the event, Matin’s antics stole the show and his camaraderie with Salman was the highlight of the event. However, one of the journalists did a big goof up and asked Matin if he has come to India for the first time.
Well, let us first clear that Matin is an Indian and hails from Arunachal Pradesh. The journalist asked the question, later realised that he is from India, and changed the question, asking if he has visited Mumbai for the first time. Well, Matin couldn’t hear the question first, so he asked the reporter to repeat. But, then Salman interrupted and told Matin, “She is asking, if you have come to India for the first time?” To which the child artiste said, “Hum India per hi baithta hai, toh India mei toh aayega na (I live in India only, so obviously I will come here).”
It looks like journalist was a bit confused about Matin’s nationality. (Also Read: Oh no! Zhu Zhu won’t be coming to India to promote ‘Tubelight’)
