Shah Rukh Khan talks about 'Raees' movie and demonetisation

Slowly but steadily, the effect of demonetisation on Bollywood releases seems to be diminishing. We can see that recent releases like director Gauri Shinde’s ‘Dear Zindagi’ earned a good amount at the Box-office. Now, with some interesting movies lined up in the coming weeks, superstar Shah Rukh Khan feels his next release ‘Raees’ will not face this trouble due to this move.

Talking about it with the reporters at the trailer launch event of ‘Raees’, SRK said, “I think things will genuinely get better. It has taken some time (to come to normal) and it should. So, initially choices were made by people. When there is a cash crunch, luxury takes a backseat.”

“I think the situation has eased off. In a few days things will be better. It is a better time period. I have been made to understand with ‘Dear Zindagi’ that there is difference in terms of positivity to spend money for entertainment,” added the actor.

‘Raees’ is an action thriller which also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan (making her Bollywood debut) playing pivotal parts in it.

Directed by Rahul Dholakia, ‘Raees’ is now slated to release on January 25, 2016.
