Fans of Rani Mukerji are eagerly waiting for her comeback. The actress is currently on a maternity leave, but there have been a lot of reports about her comeback film. And now, according to an entertainment portal, she will be seen in director Siddharth Malhotra’s next film which has been titled as ‘Hichki’.
Apparently, Sidharth had approached Abhishek Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi for the film, but both the actors rejected the film. However, when Aditya Chopra came on board as the producer he told him to change the gender of the protagonist, and that’s how Rani came on board.
It is said that Rani’s character in the film will be having an unusual disability where she uncontrollably jumps and shouts while talking. The shooting of the film will start soon. (Also Read: Rani Mukerji is looking forward to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali soon)
Talking about the project, Rani Mukerji has said, “I was looking for a script that would challenge and excite me, and Hichki came my way. Each of us has a weakness that pulls us back. It could be a disability or any condition but if we just look at it as simply a hiccup, we can emerge as a winner. It won’t come in the way of achieving our dreams. Hichki is built on this positive premise and I decided to take it up.” [sic]
Even Yash Raj Films, have confirmed on their official Twitter handle that this film ‘Hichki’ will be the comeback project for the actress.
