Hit & Run Case – Salman Khan’s plea opposed by State

Salman Khan‘s ongoing 2002 Hit & Run case has hit a hurdle, as the actors request to examine his singer-friend Kamaal Khan who was present at the time of the ill fated accident has been opposed by the prosecution.

Salman Khan’s lawyer Amit Desai had argued that singer and family friend Kamaal Khan was with Salman for the entire evening and he can throw light on the incident better than anyone else but the prosecution never examined him.

S S Shinde said, “It is not that we have not tried to get in touch with Kamaal Khan and examine him as a prosecution witness, but we could not find him….besides, the defence could also have examined him as a defence witness if they wanted to.”

Justice A R Joshi would hear both the sides on the issue on Tuesday.
