Aamir Khan will not be playing an astronaut in his untitled venture

It was just recently that we reported that actor Aamir Khan will be playing astronaut Rakesh Sharma in an untitled film. But when we got in touch with Aamir’s publicists, they denied this piece of news and said that it’s completely untrue.

For the uninitiated, Rakesh Sharma is the first Indian Air Force pilot to become a cosmonaut. He became the first Indian to be a part of space programme by India’s ISRO and Russia’s Soviet Intercosmos. During a television conference when Sharma was asked how India looked from the space, he said, “Saare Jahan Se Achcha”.

Aamir Khan is currently busy with the shooting of ‘Dangal’ in which he plays the role of a wrestler. The movie is a biopic on wrestler Mahavir Phogat and releases on Christmas this year. Well, not much is known about Aamir’s next after ‘Dangal’.
