Alia Bhatt is all set to follow the path of Priyanka Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha and Jacqueline Fernandez. The ‘Shaandaar’ actress will be soon recording a single, which will be composed by Mithoon and penned by Manoj Muntashir. The single will be produced by music baron, Bhushan Kumar. Alia will be paying a tribute to her father Mahesh Bhatt through this number.
Mithoon said, “The idea was pitched by Bhushan four months ago. After toying with a few concepts we zeroed in on a love ballad. Alia has an unconventional voice which will add to the song’s charm. She is serious about her music and a confident singer. As she wanted to pay a tribute to her father, we may include a few musical elements from ‘Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin’ and ‘Sadak’. My father, Naresh Sharma, had arranged the music for them”.
Mithoon further added, “ We are yet to take a call on whether I will sing along with Alia but I am playing the piano for sure. Alia has already lent her voice to songs that went on to be chartbusters. Like ‘Sooha Saha’ from Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Highway’ and the unplugged version of ‘Samjhawan’ from ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’. She will start her prep soon. I like to give my singers enough time to rehearse, we will do at least three-four dummy recording sessions before the final one.”
