Confirmed: Sonakshi Sinha to romance Akshay Kumar in ‘Namastey England’

Sonakshi Sinha, who was last seen in ‘Tevar’ opposite Arjun Kapoor, has two releases this year. The beauty will be seen opposite John Abraham in ‘Force 2’ and also in ‘Akira’, both the films being action dhamakas.

The beauty has been next signed up a movie opposite Bollywood hunk Sidharth Malhotra, and it is a remake of 1969 murder mystery ‘Ittefaq’. Coming up on the heels of ‘Ittefaq’ is a film opposite Khiladi Akshay Kumar. Yes, Sona will be the romantic lead in Vipul Shah’s ‘Namastey England’ opposite the ‘Baby’ actor.

Confirming the news Vipul Shah said, “Sonakshi will feature in a never-seen-before avatar. We are currently in the pre-production stage. Let me make it clear that our film is not a sequel or a continuation of ‘Namastey London’, the 2007 romcom featuring Akshay and Katrina Kaif.”

Shah further added, “The film will go on floors in August. We will be shooting in England, Paris, Switzerland, Brussels and Punjab. It could take us around six months to wrap up the film.”

Sonakshi and Akshay Kumar have formed a hit pair in many films be it ‘Rowdy Rathore’, ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara’, ‘Joker’, and ‘Holiday’. Akki has time and again confessed that the ‘Dabangg’ girl is his lucky charm.

So will the lucky charm work once more? We do think so as Akshay and Sona’s jodi has given maximum hits.
