Emraan Hashmi to venture into production

Actor Emraan Hashmi is getting experimental. The actor who recently turned an author with the book titled ‘The Kiss of Life’ which is based on his child’s battle against cancer, now plans to expand his horizons by venturing into production with his banner Emraan Hashmi Films.

Emraan recently earned praises for his performance in the movie ‘Azhar’ which was based on the life of former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin. He credited director Tony D’Souza and was so pleased with the response that he approached the man behind ‘Azhar’ to helm his banner’s maiden production venture.

The details of their new venture are under wraps and all the director has to say for now is, “We are currently finalising the script and casting. We are planning to start the film in the last quarter of this year.” This untitled film is to be produced by Emraan’s company and Oddball Motion Pictures which is owned by Tony and Nitin Upadhyay.
