Gauri Shinde: Ali Zafar is very much a part of my film ‘Dear Zindagi’

Ever since the ban on Pakistani artists, there have been many rumours about the presence of Pakistani actor Ali Zafar in Gauri Shinde’s upcoming film ‘Dear Zindagi‘. There were reports that Zafar is being replaced by Tahir Raj Bhasin (antagonist in ‘Force 2’). But, actress Alia Bhatt denied these rumours by saying that nobody is getting replaced in the film. In spite of it, the presence of this Pakistani artist in the movie raises several questions as he is not to be seen in any teaser or songs of the movie.

Now, director of the movie, Gauri Shinde recently confirmed his presence in an interview with a well-known daily. She said, “He’s very much a part of my film. Like the other young actors Kunal Kapoor and Angad Bedi, he has an important role to play.” She also added that she is upset that Ali Zafar could not be a part of all the promotional activities being carried out in India. She added, “It is unfortunate that such a situation happened.”

‘Dear Zindagi’ helmed by Gauri Shinde and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment is slated to release on November 25, 2016. The movie stars Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt in main roles and also features Kunal Kapoor, Angad Bedi, Ali Zafar and Ira Dubey in pivotal roles.
